American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Wound Care position requiring an active MA RN license and Epic experience.
Requirements- Active RN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required, must be in hand
- 1-3 years of related work experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and Microsoft Office programs
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
- Wound ostomy and continence certification not required
- Work in the Wound Care unit of a hospital setting
- 8-hour day shift schedule, 40 hours per week (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
- 13-week assignment
- No floating or charge nurse responsibilities required
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to coordinate patient care from referral through discharge and follow-up
- Assist with pre-authorization processes and coordinate patient scheduling for consultations, diagnostics, and treatment procedures
- Perform and document patient evaluations and assessments, and assist in ordering labs, x-rays, and diagnostic procedures
- Educate patients and families in collaboration with surgeons and physicians, and assist in developing educational materials
- Participate in patient rounds and case conferences
- Serve as clinical liaison to Department of Quality & Safety for skin and wound related events
- Lead quarterly pressure injury prevalence survey efforts for the hospital
- Must complete pass/fail Tele/ECG and Medication testing
- Required vaccinations include COVID (plus booster) and Flu, with medical exemptions allowed
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
- Previous Beth Israel Lahey Health employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning to any facility within the health system
