Job Summary

Receives, rotates, cuts, wraps, and merchandises fresh and processed meats, including grinds. Assists in merchandising of seafood, prepared foods, cheeses and pre-packed deli and assists in the rotisserie chicken area and full service deli. Assists in meat selection and cuts special meat arrangements for Members. Maintains all sanitation and safety standards within the meat department.

  • Work as a team to deliver GOLD club standards daily, including maintaining an opening look and visual standards.
  • All items stocked and promotional plans executed, with visible accurate signage and clean organization.

  • Understand how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department.
  • See the connection between consistent execution and positive business impact.
Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
  • Engage with Members by making recommendations and answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood. Prepare special cuts ordered by Members.
  • Cut, grind, and process fresh meats to company standards. Weigh, package, wrap, and label cuts to packaging standards.
  • Maintain the meat case with available products and ensure appropriate inventory levels.
  • Stock meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases. Rotate by expiration dates and dispose of damaged or expired products per guidelines.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, fixtures, and areas in the meat department, including coolers and display cases.
  • Inspect and store meat upon delivery; ensure quality standards are met.
  • Receive and unpack meat, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses; maintain club policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including placing orders and working in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable attendance is essential.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
  • Previous meat cutting experience required.
  • Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
  • At least 18 years of age.
Environmental Job Conditions
  • Most tasks are performed on hard surfaces; may involve bending, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping.
  • Frequently lift objects up to 30 pounds; occasionally more with assistance.
  • Located in a cooler area with exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises; occasional exposure to cleaning agents.

In accordance with Pay Transparency requirements, the following is a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. Actual salaries vary by location, education, experience, and qualifications. Pay range: $19.75 - $24.75.
