About the OpportunityLang Recruiting is partnering with a respected public accounting firm to hire a Senior Tax & Accounting Manager

As a key leader within the firm, you'll oversee tax and accounting engagements, manage client relationships, provide technical guidance, and help drive strategic growth. What You'll Do- Lead and manage the firm's tax and accounting services practice.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop managers, senior accountants, and staff.
- Review complex business, partnership, trust, and individual tax returns.
- Review financial statements, compilations, reviews, and accounting engagements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Serve as the primary advisor for key client relationships, providing proactive tax planning and accounting solutions.
- Research and resolve complex tax and accounting issues.
- Utilize Quick Books Online/Desktop and Thomson Reuters software to manage client engagements efficiently.
- Improve internal processes, workflows, and quality control procedures.
- Partner with firm leadership on business development and practice growth initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Active CPA license.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive public accounting experience.
- Extensive experience managing tax and accounting engagements.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Advanced experience with Quick Books Online and Desktop.
- Proficiency with Thomson Reuters software, including Ultra Tax CS, Accounting CS, Practice CS, and Fixed Assets CS.
- Proven leadership, project management, and client relationship skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Managing multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing accounting professionals.
- Business development and client growth initiatives.
- Working with closely held businesses, manufacturing companies, construction companies, and high-net-worth individuals.
