Overview
Matrix Basement Systems is the largest basement finishing contractor in the country. Founded in 2009 in Chicago’s northwest suburbs and expanding to the Detroit metro area in 2013. The company is hiring a full‑time CAD Drafter at our Livonia, MI location. We offer competitive compensation and a positive work environment. The CAD Drafter will focus on drawing plans, executing revisions, and assisting with material ordering, spec sheets, and other pre‑production tasks.
All CAD work for this role is done using Chief Architect.
• Draw plans and execute revisions
• Help with material ordering, spec sheets, and other pre‑production tasks
• Perform related CAD duties as part of the design workflow
Qualifications• 1–3 years’ professional experience is a bonus; position is open to students starting their career
• Students should have completed a construction documentation class or higher
• Proficient in AutoCAD, 20/20, Kitchen Design Pro, Sketch Up, Revit, or other CAD programs
• 3D modeling and Adobe Suite knowledge is a plus
• Proficient in Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Proficient experience with Chief Architect is required
• Compensation will vary based on experience
