Job Description & How to Apply Below

Are you looking to work for a company that provides an innovative work environment, and your voice is heard?

We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Development Engineer to support engine and component durability testing within a Mechanical Development (MED) team environment. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys being in the test cell
, working directly with engines, instrumentation, and data—not just running simulations or writing reports.

The primary focus of this role is engine and rotating component testing
, including pistons, connecting rods, cranktrain, and valve train systems
, under high-temperature, high-load, and high-strain conditions
. You will be responsible for test setup, execution, data acquisition, teardown, and documentation across multiple engine development programs.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Set up and execute engine and component durability tests (engine dyno and bench testing)
  • Instrument engines and components using thermocouples, strain gauges, pressure sensors, and other transducers
  • Perform high-temperature, strain, fatigue, and metal durability testing
  • Support testing of:
  • Cranktrain, pistons, connecting rods
  • Valve train and power cylinder systems
  • Cooling, lubrication, vent, sealing, and EGR systems
  • Monitor tests in real time, troubleshoot issues, and adjust test conditions as needed
  • Collect, validate, and analyze test data using DAQ systems
  • Perform post-test teardown, inspection, and failure analysis
  • Document results clearly through test reports, data summaries, and technical recommendations
  • Ensure testing complies with engineering standards, internal procedures, and customer requirements
  • Collaborate closely with design, systems, and program teams to support development decisions
What We’re Looking For (This Is Key)

This role is best suited for someone who:

  • Has direct engine or durability testing experience
  • Is comfortable working onsite in test cells and labs
  • Enjoys hands-on hardware work
, not just modeling or simulation
  • Understands how mechanical components behave under thermal and mechanical stress
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in:
  • Engine testing, durability testing, or mechanical validation
  • Dyno testing, component testing, or lab-based development work
  • Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition, and test setup
  • Strong understanding of engine mechanical systems
  • Ability to document results clearly and communicate findings effectively
Preferred Experience
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with:
  • Engine dynos or component test rigs
  • Strain gauge application and thermal instrumentation
  • Post-test teardown and root-cause analysis
  • LabVIEW, data acquisition systems, or test automation tools
  • Background in ICE engine development (OEM or Tier-1 environment)
