  • Develop and align with test standards that define data acquisition setups, accessory equipment specifications, and data quality assurance and repeatability protocols.
  • Maximize testing efficiency and data integrity through the strategic application of advanced methodologies, including statistical Design of Experiments (DoE) and the development of automated test scripts.
  • Define and implement electric drive unit test profiles within automated test scripts.
  • Proactively troubleshoot testing challenges involving powertrain test beds and cutting‑edge devices under test, driving towards swift and effective resolutions.
  • Actively contribute to departmental continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with other Rivian teams, providing technical expertise in the generation and execution of Rivian Test Standards and offering valuable input on test setups and development/validation plans.

  • Experience utilizing CAD software, including Unigraphics and Catia, for prototype‑level machining and fabrication applications.
  • Proven experience in powertrain product development engineering within a test lab setting, encompassing validation, development, and/or performance and emissions testing.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting and analyzing tests at both the powertrain and vehicle levels is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of effectively performing data reduction, in‑depth analysis, and generating comprehensive technical reports.
  • Solid understanding of electrified powertrain system design principles and key performance attributes.
  • Proficiency in utilizing automotive control module development software (e.g., ETAS INCA, Vector CANape/CANalyzer) and configuring network communications to control modules and testbed software.
  • Experience in configuring and parameterizing AVL PUMA or National Instruments Veristand test automation systems, including the development and implementation of automated test routines, is a significant plus. Familiarity with other industry‑standard test automation software is also valued.
  • Exceptional flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic environment with evolving test requirements and development standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
