About the RoleWithin the Vehicle Motion Division we design and develop state‑of‑the‑art safety and motion solutions for passenger cars, light trucks, and up to medium heavy truck. Vehicle Motion provides solutions for mobility through steering, braking, occupant safety, and vehicle dynamic sensors. Vehicle Motion is also a leader in the software and services that will support the future of Software Defined Vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- You will manage and execute global customer communication for critical quality issues, aligning with customer expectations and Bosch's business case. This includes ensuring a unified message within the division for global topics. Your responsibilities cover direct communication with OEM customers regarding complaints.
- Establish relationships within Bosch and at North American customers to effectively identify and manage quality risks, with the goal to proactively improve Bosch product quality performance.
- Support quality topics from early development / application through to product launch and series production.
- Monitor product quality data, identify and address factors driving negative warranty and external defect cost trends.
- Work from Bosch Plymouth location with occasional travel to Bosch manufacturing and customer locations (10-15%).
- Support problem solving activities related to internal/customer complaints.
- Report internal and external Q‑metrics to management.
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Field.
- 7‑10+ years of experience in automotive or relatable field.
- Solid knowledge in HW/SW in Automotive Electronic products.
- Experience in Quality Management and Customer interface.
- Experience working with a complex product that includes electronic hardware, software and mechanical components and systems.
- Experience with common problem solving tools (8D, Six Sigma, FMEA, DRBFM, 3x5 Why's, Ishikawa, Shainin (Red X), Six Sigma, et).
- Knowledge of automotive electronic manufacturing plant quality processes.
- Launch management experience in an OEM support role.
- Experience with Bosch Engineering and Business processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot automotive systems and handle difficult customer situations.
- Capable of effectively communicating to various areas of the organization (e.g. supplier quality, supply chain, product technical support, engineering, plant quality, field service, etc.).
- Strong communication, negotiation and team moderation skills.
- Strong Excel skills (including pivot tables and Macros) and good knowledge / experience in Project Management.
