Geotechnical Project Engineer – Plymouth, MI
Intertek is actively seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our Professional Services Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) team in the Plymouth, MI office.

What you’ll do- Direct and execute geotechnical project assignments, including field exploration, laboratory services, engineering analysis, report preparation, and technical review.
- Perform routine geotechnical engineering design tasks such as foundation and retaining structure designs, pavement design, and other related tasks.
- Provide quality control review of proposals and geotechnical reports and direct operations to consistently meet client commitments.
- Participate in business development and marketing efforts while building and maintaining client relationships related to technical aspects of assignments.
- Mentor and train junior professional staff.
- 3+ years of progressive Geotechnical Engineering experience with active project management experience required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of Geotechnical Engineering and related disciplines with ability to provide creative and practical solutions.
- Expected travel up to 50% of the time.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
