Senior Project Manager​/Highway Engineer III

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager/Highway Engineer III to support projects for the Transportation‑Infrastructure Practice based out of our Plymouth, MI office. RS&H invites you to join our dynamic team in Novi, MI as a Senior Project Manager/Senior Highway Engineer. This role offers advancement, new challenges, and a key role in the company’s Michigan and national transportation expansion strategy.

• Autonomy & Leadership:
  Lead all technical aspects of roadway engineering, manage project design, production, and QA/QC to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Client & Team Communication:
  Build lasting relationships with clients and the project team to exceed expectations and drive repeat business.
• Experience & Connections:
  Identify project opportunities, support proposal development, select teaming partners, and network with industry professionals.

  Collaboration:
  
  Collaborate with multi‑disciplined teams across the U.S., accessing RS&H’s nationwide footprint to broaden experience and share knowledge.

• Professional Engineering License:
  Licensed in Michigan or obtain reciprocity in six months; bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or similar from an ABET‑accredited university.
• Experience:
  
  10+ years of progressive leadership experience on transportation projects with a construction value of $20M or less.
• Quality Focus:
  Dedicated to delivering industry‑leading products, staying organized, and ensuring effective quality control processes.
• Client Partnership:
  Understand client goals, provide options, advise on decisions, and communicate proactively.
• Technical Proficiency:
  Knowledge of MDOT and FTA policies, experience in Open Roads, Micro Station, and/or Corridor Modeling programs.
• Project Management:
  Maintain budgets, schedules, and deadlines, keeping projects on track.
• Team Collaboration & Mentorship:
  Work collaboratively, mentor others, fostering a positive workplace.

Base salary range for this position in Novi, MI: $134,115 to $171,596. Individual pay determined by location, skills, experience, and education.
