Hardware Control Engineer For Aerospace Sector
Ingeteam, a leading company specialized in electrical engineering and the development of electrical equipment, motors, generators, and frequency converters, seeks to incorporate a Hardware Control Engineer for the Aerospace Sector in its facilities in Zamudio.
The mission will be to design and validate hardware elements related to electric propulsion and energy conversion. More specifically for the design of the digital control card, necessary for the regulation, control, communications, and safety of the electric machine (DCAC inverter) and converters (DCDC).
It will be integrated into the company's R&D area within a multidisciplinary group focused on aeronautical systems.
Main functions will be:
- Analyze the state of the art in control hardware for aeronautical electric propulsion systems and converters, to subsequently and based on the requirements lead the design of the concept, schemes, manufacturing, validation, and final tests.
- Perform analysis of customer specifications, breaking down the specification and defining the requirements applicable to the hardware design. Perform management of the requirements, ensuring traceability against the design, verification tests.
- Manage design changes as well as collaborate, define and agree with the rest of the design departments considering its impact.
- Design schemes and layout taking into account manufacturing recommendations, requirements, EMC rules, and level of applicable regulation (DAL A, B, C, D or ASIL D, C, B, A or SIL 2, 3,
4), for control electronics.
Know the fundamentals of design based on aeronautical DO-254 (Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware) or in its absence knowledge of development in other regulations (for example, ISO
26262) following the V-cycle development.
Perform compliance tracking of the regulation, either with external agents to the company or with internal ones.
Supply basic components and follow up in the manufacturing and assembly stages, until the obtaining of the functional cards.
Draft the validation and verification plan, as well as the follow-up of tests.
Minimum requirements:
- Degree in:
Higher Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or similar. - Minimum 4 years of experience in the design of electronic circuits in the aeronautical/automotive sector.
- Knowledge of:
- Communication buses CAN, Ethernet, CAN FD, SPI, I2C
- Design of microcontrollers from different manufacturers (Infineon, NXP, Microchip), as well as FPGAs.
- Hardware design tools (Altium, Orcad), and circuit simulation tools (LTSpice, Qspice, Micro-cap, TINA).
- Minimum C1 English
- Technical report writing and client technical meetings.
Valuable:
- Knowledge of simulation software (Ansys Electronic Desktop, ICE PAck, TRM) and EMCs (hyperlynx).
- Training in Functional Safety ISO 26262, DO-254.
- Knowledge of requirements management tools and traceability (Polarion from Siemens, DOORS) as well as experience in writing requirements, creating internal specifications from customer requirements.
Offered:
- Incorporation into an innovative leading organization in Power Electronics, being part of the contribution to the transition of the energy model, impacting on the triple sustainability (social, environmental and economic).
- Flexible schedule and other work-life balance facilities.
- Compensation consistent with the experience of the candidate.
- Indefinite contract.
- Integration into a young, dynamic, and technologically leading team.
