Ingeteam HW Power Engineer

Ingeteam, a leading company specialized in electrical engineering and the development of electrical equipment, motors, generators, and frequency converters, is looking to hire a HW Power Engineer in the Converters & Controls Technology Area in Zamudio.

Main functions will be:

• Specify requirements, design, and validation of power converters
• Dimension components of power and design PCB
• Collaborate in thermal, EMC, and mechanical design to integrate environmental requirements
• Relate with suppliers for component design
• Collaborate with systems and integrated software teams
• Tune and characterize prototypes
• Verify and validate the design. Characterize performance and operating margins
• Industrialize new technologies and solutions
• Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to get mature products in production

Requirements:

• Electrical/Electronic Engineering studies with extensive knowledge of Power Electronics
• Minimum B2 English
• Experience in the design of high-performance DC/DC and DC/AC power converters:
  Design, adjustment, and testing of high-frequency isolated and non-isolated converters
• Complete power equipment lifecycle, from schematics to component design, documentation, communication with suppliers, and prototype creation
• Perform models and dynamic system analysis, research, and technology development from concept to implementation
• Real-time simulations like Matlab/Simulink, PLECS, PSIM, Spice
• Specification of gate drivers for converters
• Knowledge of high-frequency energy conversion or design and analysis of power distribution systems, including analysis of power electronics topologies, power components, magnetic elements, and capacitor technologies
• Safety, EMC, thermal, and mechanical requirements
• Teamwork, proactivity, innovation, and orientation to quality and results
