Overview
The role at Rivian focuses on developing lubrication strategies for electric drive units and related components to enhance durability and efficiency. The team is dedicated to innovative engineering solutions, utilizing first‑principles in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. Candidates will lead the design of lubrication system components and work closely with suppliers and cross‑functional teams. This position requires a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in lubrication engineering or component design.
- Strong CAD skills with experience in 3D parametric modeling and PLM systems.
- Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards for radial and linear stackups.
- Familiarity with system analysis and simulation tools is strongly preferred.
- Experience designing or reviewing validation plans for lubrication performance.
