MTI is looking for a motivated engineer to join our team. We are specifically looking for a Project Engineer I - Design to provide technical expertise to cross-functional business development and engineering program team execution activities.

• Plans and formulates workflow of self to meet specified deadlines with minimum of supervision
• 3D Design/engineering responsibility for components and sub systems
• 2D Detailing and preparation of manufacturing documentation
• Use and understanding of data management tools (Windchill, Teamcenter)
• Resolves engineering and design conflicts
• Some system management responsibilities
• Support for all system engineering tasks relating to system responsibility i.e.
  • Architecture
  • Resolving design constraints and establishing interfaces
  • DFMEA’s, DVPR’s
  • BOM input
  • Coordinating input from other skill teams as required i.e., Analysis

• Bachelors’ degree in engineering or Associates.
• Four + years of design experience
• 3D Design experience with HV and/or LV wiring and harnesses (routing, retention, shielding, etc)
• Formal knowledge of GD&T
• Good CAD skills on one or more systems (Siemens NX preferred)
• Fluent in PDM software (Teamcenter preferred)

• Visual Requirement:
  Enough to read Balancing:
  Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces
• Climbing stairs:
  Ascending or descending stairs to gain access to a building or to move from one floor to another
• Light Carrying:
  Physically transporting items weighing less than 15 pounds from one location to another
  
  Moderate Carrying:
  Items weighing 15 to 45 pounds
• Light Lifting:
  Raising objects under 15 pounds from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from one position to another
• Heavy Lifting:
  Objects 45 pounds and over
• Sitting:
  Particularly for sustained periods of time
• Walking:
  Moving about on foot, particularly for long distances
• Hearing Requirements:
  Must be able to detect specific noises, proper equipment operation, and understand what clients are saying in normal conversations
