Product Development Engineer

We're seeking a Product Development Engineer to lead end-to-end product development activities within a dynamic automotive environment. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the complete product lifecycle, working closely with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet performance, quality, timing, and cost objectives.

Your role

• Lead end-to-end product development programs from early concept and customer bidding activities through product development, validation, launch, and production
• Serve as the primary technical interface for customers throughout the product development lifecycle
• Drive design, product matching, simulation, development, validation, testing, and release activities
• Ensure products meet all performance, quality, durability, reliability, cost, and timing requirements
• Coordinate APQP activities and support PPAP submissions, approvals, and engineering changes
• Investigate technical and quality-related issues, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation including 2D drawings, 3D models, specifications, and technical reports

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• 3 + years of experience in automotive product development, design, validation, testing, and product launch
• Experience or exposure with engine calibration and validation
• Knowledge of FMEA methodologies, product development processes, validation planning, and testing at both component and engine level
• Experience working directly with customers and leading technical discussions
