Domain Specific Skills- Experience with front suspension architecture and concept development
- Ability to develop and assess interfaces between chassis, steering, driveline, and structure
- Knowledge of torque steer, durability, ground clearance, and serviceability impacts.
- Experience comparing carryover, modified, and new design solutions
- Define component and system engineering requirements.
- Create and develop engineering designs and concepts.
- Perform packaging, tolerance, and feasibility studies.
- Develop CAD models, drawings, and engineering releases.
- Support CAE, prototype builds, testing, sourcing, and validation activities.
- Resolve design, manufacturing, quality, and launch issues.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Manage engineering changes and documentation.
- Proven background in concept-to-production vehicle development and problem-solving
- 5y+ years of automotive/commercial vehicle engineering experience within relevant domain.
- 2y+ CAD experience (CATIA 3
Dx, 3D Experience or V5). - GD&T and tolerance analysis
- DFMA principles.
- Problem-solving and root cause analysis.
- Effective communication and teamwork.
