ABOUT THE ROLE
As Controller, you will lead and coordinate all accounting, financial reporting, cost‐accounting and internal‐control functions for U.S. operations. The role is vital to ensuring accurate financial results, effective cost‐management, compliance with U.S. accounting standards, and providing actionable business insight to corporate leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee accounting operations for U.S. entities: general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll interface, cost accounting, inventory valuation, job costing, and overhead.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly and year‐end close processes for multiple entities; ensure consistent, accurate and timely financial statements.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Business Partnering
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic rolling forecasts across U.S. operations, aligned to strategic company goals.
- Provide accurate, timely cash management analysis for operational decisions.
- Support company management in margin improvement, cost‐reduction efforts and capital‐expenditure justification.
Compliance and Controls
- Maintain robust internal control environment across the U.S. operations; ensure compliance with U.S. accounting standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external public accountants and provide schedules, analysis, and information critical to the preparation and issuance of accurate, timely financial statements.
- Manage tax and other statutory filings in collaboration with local tax advisors.
- Drive accounting policy standardization, controls, and process improvements.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, develop, and mentor accounting staff for accurate, efficient accounting operations.
- Serve as a strategic finance partner to company leadership and guide decision‐making with clear financial insight.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- CPA required.
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting standards.
- Prior experience with budgeting and cash flow analysis required.
- Demonstrated experience working with Quick Books.
