AI Modeling Engineer

We#x2019;re seeking to connect an AI Modeling Lead with a leading company in the insurance industry on a full-time basis. This is a highly visible, hybrid role based in Plymouth, Michigan. Local candidates will take precedence over remote candidates, even if remote candidates rank higher in evaluations. As an AI Modeling Lead, you will play a critical role in shaping, evaluating, and approving production-grade AI systems that directly impact the business.

• Lead the design, evaluation, and deployment of high-impact AI and machine learning models.
• Establish modeling standards, validation frameworks, and performance benchmarks.
• Partner closely with business and technical leaders in a highly visible capacity.
• Evaluate model risk, fairness, drift, and regulatory exposure.
• Make final go/no-go decisions for production model launches.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship.

• 7+ years of experience delivering AI/ML models into production.
• Advanced expertise in predictive modeling, deep learning, NLP, and LLMs.
• Strong understanding of model governance, validation, and responsible AI.
• Masters degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field (PhD preferred).

• Base salary range of $150,000 C $170,000 plus an annual bonus
