About the RoleWe’re looking for a Purchasing Manager who doesn’t just place orders, they own outcomes.
This role sits at the center of operations, field execution, and vendor partnerships. You will lead a team, drive purchasing strategy, and ensure the right materials show up at the right time without excuses. You are someone who follows through, communicates early when something is off, and finds a way to solve it before it becomes a problem. You don’t wait for issues to elevate.
You get ahead of them. If you take pride in running a tight operation, building strong vendor relationships, and making sure nothing slips through the cracks, this is your seat.
- Lead and develop the purchasing team, setting clear expectations and ensuring accountability across all buying activities
- Own vendor sourcing, negotiation, and relationship management to ensure competitive pricing, reliability, and service quality
- Oversee the full purchasing lifecycle including purchase orders, order tracking, issue resolution, and delivery coordination
- Partner with operations, project managers, and leadership to forecast demand and align purchasing with project timelines
- Manage inventory strategy including stock levels, forecasting, and optimization to avoid shortages and excess
- Review contracts, pricing structures, and supplier performance to ensure vendors are meeting expectations and delivering value
- Use purchasing data to identify trends, cost‑saving opportunities, and process improvements
- Anticipate risks in the supply chain and take action before they impact field execution or customer outcomes
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles
- Strong experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating pricing
- Proven ability to support fast‑paced operations with multiple stakeholders
- Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central preferred)
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Valid driver’s license required
- Experience in service‑based or field operations environments
- Background leading purchasing strategy or driving process improvements
- Experience managing supplier performance at a high level
