, is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician
. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, completing building repairs, and maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of commercial facilities.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on building systems and facilities
- Complete general maintenance tasks involving carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, and painting
- Repair and replace plumbing fixtures, including sinks, toilets, and related components
- Respond to maintenance work orders and document completed repairs and service activities
- Inspect and maintain facility safety equipment, including emergency lighting, smoke detectors, and fire extinguishers
- Maintain interior and exterior building conditions through routine cleaning, spill removal, and general upkeep
- Install, move, and secure furniture, fixtures, equipment, and flooring materials
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment while tracking supplies and materials
- Hands-on experience performing maintenance and repairs in commercial, industrial, or residential facilities
- Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, masonry, and general building maintenance
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and specialized maintenance equipment
- Knowledge of building codes, workplace safety regulations, and sanitation standards
- Experience performing preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and general troubleshooting
- Proficiency with basic computer applications for maintenance documentation and work order tracking
- Experience maintaining maintenance records, safety checklists, and inventory documentation
- Experience maintaining facilities within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Experience inspecting emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and related safety equipment
- Knowledge of commercial building systems, fixtures, and preventive maintenance procedures
- Experience with painting, flooring installation, and minor building modifications
- Familiarity with maintenance supply inventory management and material ordering
