Machine Builder
The Machine Builder, reporting to the Production Manager, is directly responsible for layout and assembly of equipment and machines according to set prints or guidelines. Will need to create sketches and/or work from drawings to build the process equipment. Ability to interpret or develop line drawing from simple flow diagrams. Support Anderson Process Core Values of:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead assembly, testing, Buy Off and tear down and packaging of all products being produced.
- Fit and assemble components according to assembly blueprints, manuals, and sketches.
- Experience to construct, rebuild, and repair machines and equipment, uses hand tools and power tools.
- Verify parts to stock list and blueprints, using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
- Lay out locations for drill and tap holes on parts and assembly.
- Align components for assembly, manually or with hoist, and bolt and/or screw parts together, using hand tools, rivet gun, or arrange for assembly by welder and electrician.
- Final assembly for sequencing of functionality to meet customer specified product performance.
- Able to make final adjustments during performance testing to meet specifications.
- Tear down and packaging of equipment for safe shipping.
- Perform meter calibrations.
- Remove high spots and smooth surfaces, using chisels, scrapers, files, and powered grinders.
- Follow all safety guidelines of the company.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Skills/Experience
Required:
- Highly proficient and demonstrable mechanical aptitude.
- Proven ability to successfully troubleshoot.
- Ability to pass Mechanical Aptitude test.
- Demonstrate proper hose assembly.
- Demonstrate proper tube bending.
- Ability to read basic flow diagrams, general assembly, and line drawings.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Rigging experience.
- At least 4 years of machine building experience.
- Valid driver's license with a record that allows you to be covered by company insurance.
Preferred:
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Experience working at Customer sites.
- Forklift experience.
- Pump/Hydraulic equipment maintenance or repair experience.
- Knowledge of welding and metal fabrication.
- Associates degree in related field.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Ability to stand or walk most of the day.
- Ability to twist and turn at least 25% of day.
- Stoop and bend at least 25% of day.
- Ability to reach above shoulders at least 25% of day.
- Repetitive hand and wrist movements at least 50% of the day.
- Forearm rotation at least 25% of the day.
