The Bilingual IMS Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Plymouth, MI. This role is responsible for supporting and maintaining the company’s Integrated Management Systems (IMS), ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring system performance, updating documentation, coordinating audits, and assisting with the implementation of process improvements. The specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide training on IMS-related procedures.
Regular communication in both English and another designated language (commonly Mandarin Chinese) is required to facilitate information flow between local and international teams.
- Proficiency in English and a second language (preferably Mandarin Chinese), with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Integrated Management Systems or similar quality, environmental, or safety management frameworks (e.g., ISO standards).
- Strong organizational, documentation, and process coordination abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and support audits and compliance activities.
- Comfort working with ERP or other enterprise software systems, and solid general IT literacy (MS Office, databases, and collaboration tools).
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, quality management, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in automotive manufacturing, glass industry, or a similar high-volume production setting is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
