Job Title: HVAC Service Technician, I

Responsible for following and assisting with refrigeration system repairs, installation, and maintenance. Also responsible for customer interaction and communication with the field supervisor and the administrative staff.

• Assist with the coordination of refrigeration system repairs, installation, maintenance, and updates.
• Assist the HVAC Manufacturing Business Unit engineers and Sales departments as required.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure all refrigeration needs are met.
• Must have a basic understanding of industrial refrigeration systems, electrical controls, and be proficient in AC/DC, wiring, calibration, and pneumatics.
• Assist with AC/DC, electrical troubleshooting, pneumatics, wiring, calibration, cooling, and electrical controls.
• Proven knowledge of refrigeration systems and their components.
• Assist in troubleshooting complex refrigeration issues.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Company Policies and Safety Standards.
• Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.
• All other related duties as assigned.
• Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job.

• HVAC Certification or License preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of technical service experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Strong customer orientation.

• High attention to detail for customer satisfaction.
• Keep up with new techniques and technologies in the field.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and computer‑based file structures.
• Ability to use a computer.

• This position is located in a testing environment and will involve hands‑on work. Physical activity will include lifting (up to 50lb), bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand‑eye coordination, manual dexterity or standing for long periods.
• Ability to speak verbally, and read in English.
• Ability to see with corrective lenses.
• Ability to hear.
• Ability to walk.
• Ability to travel up to 60% domestically.
• Able to work overtime, evenings and/or weekends as required.

• Normal hazards related to working in an office environment, manufacturing, and testing environment.
• Normal hazards related to road and air travel.
