Full Time Key Position Plymouth, MI, US
Summary/Objective:The Automation Technician is responsible for maintaining and managing automation equipment, including spare parts inventory, system backups, and operational efficiency. This role ensures equipment reliability through regular inspections, modifications, and upgrades while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Additionally, the technician provides training on equipment operations and best practices.
Essential Functions:- Ensure the smooth operation of automation equipment through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Manage and maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts related to automation equipment.
- Regularly back up and update automation programs to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
- Develop and implement equipment modification and upgrade plans, as well as inspection schedules.
- Perform routine hardware inspections, including dust protection, component tightening, and replacement of worn parts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with 5S standards.
- Provide training and guidance on equipment operation and best practices to relevant personnel.

This position has no supervisor responsibility.
- This position is primarily on the facility floor with light desk work. Regularly working with automation equipment and mechanical tools.
- Must be 18 years or older.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:this is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel:Sometimes travel to our supplier may happen.
RequiredEducation and Experience:
- Basic mechanical aptitude and manufacturing plant experience.
- Minimum of one year of general robotics maintenance and programming experience.
Education and Experience:
- Five or more years of maintenance experience.
- Understanding of injection molding machine systems, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
- Advanced robotics experience, including programming.
