We are seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving/Building Maintenance Clerk. This position assures the Shipping and Receiving Department materials enter and leave the facility in a safe and timely manner; and are handled, tracked and stored correctly in the building. This position also maintains the building and grounds of the facility to provide a safe and healthy work environment.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site position based in Plymouth, MI, for a Shipping & Receiving/Building Maintenance Clerk. The role involves handling shipping and receiving duties, including managing incoming and outgoing materials, maintaining an organized inventory system, and ensuring accurate record-keeping and handling scrap disposal. Additional responsibilities include stocking first-aid supplies, operating forklifts along with forklift maintenance, packing items, performing minor repairs (such as tile, lighting, drywall, painting, arranges for contract repairs (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) and maintaining the building's facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness.

Collaboration with teams to support general operations is also a key component of the role.

Hours are Monday to Friday (7:30 a.m.

- 4:30 p.m.) with occasional over time.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Shipping, Receiving, and Packing processes to ensure efficient material handling and timely delivery.
  • Proficiency in Inventory Control and maintaining accurate records of stocks and supplies.
  • Forklift Operation skills and applicable certifications for safe handling of equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Basic building maintenance and repair knowledge is preferred.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 75 lbs.) as required in shipping and receiving duties.
  • 2-4 years minimum, with prior experience in a similar role being advantageous.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company policies and procedures.
