We’re partnering with a Plymouth-based organization to add a Staff Accountant to their growing accounting team. This role offers broad exposure across general ledger accounting, month-end close, and sales and use tax, with the opportunity to work closely with leadership in a collaborative, hands‑on environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and review financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation
• Assist with variance analysis and ad hoc reporting for leadership
• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns across applicable jurisdictions
• Review transactions for proper tax treatment and research taxability questions
• Support sales and use tax audits, including data pulls, documentation, and audit responses
• Partner with internal teams to ensure ongoing sales tax compliance and process accuracy
• Assist with audit preparation and provide support to internal and external auditors
• Help identify opportunities for process improvement and documentation enhancements
• Support additional accounting projects and duties as needed

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years of general accounting or staff accountant experience
• Hands‑on experience with sales and use tax preparation and compliance
• Strong understanding of month‑end close and reconciliations
• Experience working with an ERP system and solid Excel skills
• Ability to work hybrid in the Plymouth area
