Accountant – GNUS, MGA

Responsibilities

• Responsible for moderately complex accounting activities relating to the creation of IFRS, U.S. GAAP, and statutory financial statements along with internal management reporting
• Analysis and interpretation of data, systems and data flows, maintenance of the general ledger and support of the finance control environment
• Assists in the preparation and review of monthly financial statements, and related reports, ensuring accuracy of IFRS, U.S. GAAP, and statutory reporting
• Analyzes and interprets data from multiple source systems and platforms, including reconciliation between official records and international systems; leverages automated tools to streamline data reporting, analytics and data integrity processes
• Coordinates with business unit finance leaders and global finance teams to provide analysis of monthly results versus prior year and plan, supporting informed decision-making
• Prepares monthly financial reports and supplemental schedules
• Prepares journal entries, establishes accruals and maintains intercompany transactions for month end
• Provides support throughout the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
• Prepares account reconciliations including analysis, and research to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Performs ad-hoc analysis and reporting for management
• Provides support for internal and external audit requirements by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Career path towards CPA certification for certain positions (not required for all positions)
