Staff Accountant

LHH is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant for one of their clients in the real estate and property management industry. This is an opportunity to work for a respected leader in the industry that that enriches the lives of residents every day.

In this role, you'll be a key contributor to the financial health of multiple locations, ensuring accurate financial reporting while partnering with team members to identify issues, solve problems, and improve processes. We're looking for someone who is proactive, collaborative, and takes pride in producing high-quality work. Very large team in place so lots of training and support

• Managing prepaid expenses, including insurance and operating expenses.
• Preparing and maintaining accrued expense schedules for payroll, vacation, bonuses, utilities, and other operating expenses.
• Recording and reconciling intercompany transactions.
• Reviewing General Ledger accounts to ensure transactions are properly recorded and classified.
• Managing and reviewing community credit card purchases and reconciliations.
• Preparing monthly account reconciliations
• Preparing monthly financial statements.
• Identifying accounting discrepancies and recommending solutions
• Supporting audits and special projects as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field OR Associates and 3+ years of experience
• Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

• Property management or property accounting experience is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with intercompany accounting preferred.
• Multi-entity accounting experience is beneficial.
