Position:
Sales Account Manager, Wheat and Rye
DUTIES:
The Sales Account Manager, Wheat & Rye, is responsible for coordinating with customers and internal department representatives to promote the development and sale of Buhler's milling solutions for wheat and rye. Specific duties include:
1) manage sales in excess of $6m and maintain key accounts across North America under the supervision of the Sales Director - Milling Solutions, including understanding and enforcing effective strategic and tactical market development;
2) provide technical expertise in grain milling technology, including the planning and layout of industrial scale grain milling facilities, to both clients and internal stakeholders;
3) work with cross-functional professionals and managers to support business development, market assessment, and new account strategies;
4) conduct plant assessments for clients to identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency; using the ability to read blue prints, flow charts and piping diagrams.
5) implement new technologies and standards;
6) support the launch of new equipment and processes in North America;
7) support the local engineering team with technology expertise;
8) represent Buhler at trade shows;
9) assist the legal department in developing sales contracts, including negotiating prices, warranties and other terms and conditions; and 10) use Navigator software to create cost estimates for industrial milling projects. Additionally, the Sales Account Manager, Wheat & Rye serves in a business development function and is responsible for coordinating and aligning with Buhler Headquarters in Switzerland on technical issues and expectations.
In the business development function, the Sales Account Manager supports business development, market assessment, and new account strategies; develops business concepts for the markets assigned, including market potential analysis, competitor analysis, trend analysis, and customer analysis; assesses the needs and requirements of the North American market and develops solutions to solve customer needs; ensures proper understanding of codes and regulations of North American markets by Swiss Headquarters to allow R&D to develop accepted equipment and solutions;
and ensures business exchange by assisting the Swiss headquarters with communication and customer interactions. Domestic and international travel required: approximately 75% of the time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires three (3) years of milling related experience. Experience must include two (2) years of experience, which may be concurrent, in all of the following:
1) managing and maintaining key accounts, including experience with understanding and enforcing effective strategic and tactic market development;
2) supporting business development, market assessment, and new account strategies;
3) providing technical expertise in grain milling technology and planning and layout of industrial scale grain milling facilities both externally to clients and internally to other stakeholders;
4) developing business concepts for the markets assigned, including market potential analysis, competitor analysis, trend analysis, and customer analysis; and
5) using Navigator software to create cost estimates for industrial milling projects; ability to read blue prints, flow charts and piping diagrams. All experience may be gained concurrently. Domestic and international travel required approximately 75% of the time. Salary: $94, 598 to $120, 000/year. Benefits offered:
