Construction Materials Technician
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Materials Technician for a traveling position. The role involves working on large commercial and industrial projects across various regions. The ideal candidate will perform testing and observations on these projects, prepare daily reports, and communicate findings with project managers.
Responsibilities- Conduct testing and observations on large commercial and industrial construction projects.
- Prepare and submit daily reports on observations made at the job site.
- Review data and communicate findings with project managers on site and within the team.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field personnel from various teams on site.
- ACI certifications, with ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician I certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction inspection.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in materials testing.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with soil testing and nuclear gauge.
- Preferably have ACI Concrete Strength I certification.
- ICC Pre-Stressed Concrete Special Inspector certification is a plus.
- Nuclear Gauge/Radiation safety knowledge.
This position involves full-time fieldwork on large construction sites across the country. The role requires interaction with engineers, project managers, and field personnel, including owners, general contractors, and subcontractors. Candidates must be comfortable working outside in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and sun. The role involves significant travel for project durations, with accommodations for long weekends to return home.
Expect to gain valuable experience working on large data center projects, with opportunities for overtime and per diem compensation.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 – $32.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
