Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Mechanical Engineer, located in Plymouth, MN. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing mechanical systems and machinery. The role involves conducting research and development activities, overseeing engineering projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful completion of projects. The engineer will also create and review technical designs, perform testing, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities- Develop product specifications by interfacing with customers and marketing personnel.
- Design and develop in-vitro models for verification testing of safety and efficacy.
- Participate in the development of new and revised products with design contributions.
- Create documentation for revised and new products.
- Debug, test and verify new designs. Participate in design reviews.
- Contact vendors or contractors involved in development of products.
- Support design, development and documentation of highly repeatable manufacturing processes for new products and product changes for medical devices.
- Create and implement validation protocols for new machines/processes.
- Perform process level data analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or related field with a minimum of 3+ years of experience or
- Advanced degree with a minimum of 1+ years of experience
- Experience in medical device industry
- Experience with catheter design or manufacturing
- Advanced degree in Engineering or a related field
- Demonstrated experience leading technical projects
- Experience with CAD software specifically Solidworks and Solidworks PDM
- Good technical writing skills
- Experience with Six Sigma, Gage R&R, DOE
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000 annually
