Powertrain Engineer

The Powertrain Engineer is a key team member that will provide coaching of an offshore engineering team to deliver powersports products per the Long-Range Product Plan. This includes new product layouts, root cause analysis/troubleshooting, technology/research, and lifecycle product support. The scope includes 4-stroke engines, turbo charging, transmissions, CVTs, half/shafts, differentials, and calibrations. The position requires excellent technical engineering knowledge, superior communication skills, proficiency in working internationally, and program management experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with a cross functional engineering team, product management, customer research, and with an international engineering team to develop a global product that exceeds customer desires for powersports.
  • Foster collaboration to identify and harvest new engineering concepts, technologies, techniques, standards and procedures.
  • Provide engineering coaching and design oversight for new product development to an international engineering team.
  • Actively participate in vehicle development with the testing team domestically and internationally.
  • Must be able to ride and evaluate off-road vehicles and assess all areas of off-road vehicle performance.
  • Familiar with ROHVA, SVIA, ANSI, NHTSA, and other standards relating to safety and certifications of vehicles being developed, with adherence to relevant requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical (or similar) Engineering
  • 10 years of engineering experience, preferably in powersports
  • 5+ years of experience with engines, CVTs and other driveline parts
  • Self-directed, flexible and quick to learn
  • Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Data-driven decision making and strong analytical skills
  • Problem solving with a first principles approach
  • Experience delivering results on multiple global projects, balancing resources, timing and quality
  • Experience with data acquisition equipment in field testing and general lab testing equipment
  • Able to travel internationally up to 4x/year

Technical Service Representative

The Technical Support Representative provides technical support to CFMOTO dealers and customers through vehicle troubleshooting, diagnostic support, technical problem resolution, and product training.

  • Respond to and resolve dealer technical inquiries by phone or electronically, performing technical research to identify product issues and provide technical product support.
  • Document dealer contacts to identify trends and recommend strategies to support dealers and customers.
  • Partner with CFMOTO dealers to deliver customer-focused service operations and advocate for product quality.
