Job OverviewThe R&D / Product Development Technician II supports product development activities through hands‑on prototyping, testing, and process execution. This role works closely with engineering to build and evaluate early‑stage designs, execute validation tasks, and contribute to product and process improvements with intermittent guidance.
Job Requirements- Build and assemble prototype, verification, and validation units following engineering guidance
- Perform testing, data collection, and documentation to support product and process validation
- Operate laboratory and manufacturing equipment with limited supervision
- Execute process characterization tasks and assist with validation activities
- Troubleshoot equipment or process issues and elevate as needed
- Use measurement tools and collect data to identify trends and irregularities
- Create and update work instructions and technical documentation with some guidance
- Support preventive maintenance and calibration activities for equipment
- Assist in fixture setup, modification, and tooling support
- Work cross‑functionally with engineering, quality, and production teams
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in lab, R&D, manufacturing, or technical environments
- Working knowledge of electromechanical systems, equipment, and tools
- Ability to read prints, drawings, and technical instructions
- Experience with data collection, documentation, and test execution
- Basic understanding of process validation and characterization concepts
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes

- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $46,000– $69,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
- Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
