Edison Smart is partnering with a rapidly growing engineering and power solutions organisation delivering advanced electrical infrastructure projects across critical industries including energy, industrial automation, data centres, and renewable power. As part of its continued expansion, the company is seeking an experienced Application Engineer with experience designing LV/MV switch gear, switchboards, panel boards, and electrical control systems who enjoys working at the intersection of engineering, sales, manufacturing, and product development.

• Provide technical expertise for low and medium voltage power distribution equipment, electrical control systems, and integrated infrastructure solutions.
• Support sales, engineering, manufacturing, testing, and field service teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review customer specifications and develop compliant, cost-effective technical solutions that meet project requirements.
• Lead application engineering activities for LV/MV switch gear, switchboards, panel boards, and control systems.
• Support the development of technical proposals, quotations, and customer‑facing solution presentations.
• Drive product improvements, design standardisation, and continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and manufacturing functions.
• Evaluate new technologies, components, and product enhancements to support future growth and innovation.
• Participate in project kick‑offs, design reviews, testing activities, and post‑project evaluations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering, sales, and operations teams.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders while supporting both pre‑sales and aftermarket activities.

• 5+ years of experience designing LV/MV switch gear, switchboards, panel boards, or electrical control systems.
• Experience with in renewable energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), data centres, EV charging infrastructure, or other critical power environments.
• Familiarity with UL, NEC, and relevant industry standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of electrical power distribution systems and control system design.
• Experience supporting customer‑facing technical discussions and translating customer requirements into engineered solutions.
• Proven ability to collaborate across engineering, sales, manufacturing, and field service functions.
• Experience developing technical proposals, quotations, and application‑specific solutions.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, Solid Works, or similar engineering design software.
