Position SummaryWe’re looking for a hard‑working individual who would like to join us in developing new product concepts within our Sensors group, as well as engineering, manufacturing, and customer support. This Electrical Engineer III position will focus on analog design for new product development. You’ll be a contributing member in our collaborative environment while finding a good amount of autonomy here and a hard‑working group that contributes to Banner’s ongoing success and continuing growth.
In this position, you will be part of a multi‑disciplinary and highly technical team, collaborating with peer engineers to prototype and develop cutting‑edge sensor products. You will play a key role in all stages of product development, from initial technology evaluation and prototype design to successful release of final product and addressing field issues if they arise.
This position is located at our corporate headquarters in Plymouth, MN and is a 5‑day per week, in‑office position.

Key Responsibilities- Design analog and digital circuits for industrial automation sensors
- Evaluate electrical system performance to ensure targeted specifications are met
- Manage product documentation including bill of materials (BOMs), design verification reports, and engineering change orders (ECOs)
- Work collaboratively with and sometimes lead small multi‑disciplinary teams that may include optical, mechanical, software, and/or manufacturing engineers to provide globally competitive products

Required- Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical design as a design lead
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
- Effective working experience with analog / small signal electrical design
- Proficiency with relevant circuit design software tools including schematic capture, PCB layout, and SPICE / simulation tools
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Experience working with test & measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, spectrum analyzers, custom test platforms, etc.
- Ability to multi‑task effectively, work in a collaborative team environment, and take initiative on design choices
