DOT​/Municipal Market Leader

Foth is a 100% member‑owned science and engineering consulting firm headquartered in Wisconsin. This 100‑year‑old firm has over 700 members across 30 locations that collaborate on complex scientific and engineering projects.

Foth is looking for a DOT/Municipal Market Leader for our Minneapolis, MN office. The role focuses on acquiring new clients in the Municipal and/or DOT markets and executing growth strategies for the office. The ideal candidate has a passion for business development and a proven record of success in the civil engineering consulting industry.

• Develop statements of qualifications, proposals, and presentations to support market growth.
• Conduct contract negotiations and participate in professional organizations, advertising, and conferences.
• Implement opportunity‑pursuit and win strategies.
• Identify, research, and qualify potential leads.
• Stay current with industry trends through events and associations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet business goals.
• Assist with market research as needed.
• Oversee all client satisfaction activities.
• Maintain business development standard operating procedures, guidelines, and strategies for pursuit and processing opportunities.
• Understand RFQ/RFP/RFI criteria and decision/selection processes.
• Develop strategies for producing submittals and assign/schedule resources for completion.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Minnesota.
• Experience with proposal development and coordination while pursuing new business.
• Minimum five years of experience managing projects and client relationships.
• Minimum five years of experience in the civil engineering consulting industry.

Base compensation ranges from $160,000 to $190,000 per year, depending on experience, location, level of responsibility, and certifications. In addition, Foth members may receive bonuses through our Earned Performance Incentive program and On‑the‑Spot bonuses. Exempt members are eligible for quarterly and/or annual bonuses.
