• Supporting the development and maintenance of existing & new products within the Home Environment & Consumer Safety portfolios.
• Implementing programs to improve quality, reduce costs, and support new NPI programs for Home Environment & Consumer Safety products.
• Leading, alongside cross functional team, key Change Management Projects (CMP) for existing products and product line extensions.
• Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to drive implementation and launch.
• Verify and document product specifications for new and existing products via claim substantiation process in PLM.
• Conducting product claims testing and document test results via claim substantiation process.
• Interacting closely with key internal and external manufacturers and suppliers to deliver high-quality retail products.
• Interfacing with cross-functional team members (marketing, manufacturing, supply chain, sales, technical service, quality, regulatory, etc.) to ensure successful program delivery.
• Determining root cause of product quality issues and implementing corrective actions.

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
• Three (3) years of manufacturing and/or laboratory experience in a private, public, government or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) & Change Management Projects (CMP).
• Demonstrated success in effectively leading and contributing to cross functional teams.
• Strong communication, organizational, project management and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to define and execute product verification/claim substantiation test plans, develop & validate test methods and properly document test results.
• Proficiency in design of experiments and other statistical methods & tools.
• Experience in a regulated industry.
• Familiar with PLM system for: RM substitutions (and the 3M change management process), NPI process, SKU creation, BOM creation, PFMEA, DFMEA, HOQ, test method development.

This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee work five days a week at the 3M center in Maplewood, MN.

May include up to 15% - 25% domestic.

The expected compensation range for this position is $124,127 - $151,710, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
