Job Overview
Senior Process Development Engineer – responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality, and cost‑effective manufacturing of new products.
Responsibilities- Apply engineering principles and practices across broad assignments and related fields.
- Develop processes and equipment for new product introduction, including characterization, optimization, and validation of manufacturing lines.
- Identify and implement process improvements, and lead cross‑functional projects that impact major programs.
- Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs.
- Supervise up to 5 technicians or associate engineers and mentor less‑experienced associates.
- Ensure compliance with QMS, FDA regulations, safety, environmental, and security requirements.
- Own Quality within the engineering discipline, support corrective and preventive actions, and contribute to KPI achievements.
- Lead technology and equipment procurement, develop protocols, reports, specifications, and work instructions.
- Provide support for manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Occasional travel to sites or external partners as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field (master’s preferred).
- Seven or more years of progressive engineering experience, or 15+ years of relevant experience if degree is lacking.
- Technical subject‑matter expertise and strong problem‑solving foundation.
- Certifications in 6‑Sigma (green belt minimum, black belt preferred), 8D, RCA, 5‑Why, PMP, or equivalent.
- Experience leading teams and acting as a coach or mentor.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Calm, positive demeanor capable of thriving in a high‑energy production environment.
- Salary range: $115,500 – $169,400
