The Opportunity

We are seeking a mid-level engineer or architect to join our team—a role that offers the chance to build on your existing expertise while serving as a vital link between our early-career and senior professionals. Ideal candidates will have prior experience at an engineering, architecture, or consulting firm and a strong desire to deepen their technical skills. As a member of the Building Materials Group, you will tackle complex challenges, developing innovative solutions for projects ranging from buildings to bridges.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, Building Science, or related field.
  • Five (5) or more years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent technical, written, graphical, and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Perform investigations, condition assessments, and construction observations of buildings.
  • Conduct testing using various tools, including nondestructive testing methods.
  • Analyze field and laboratory data to facilitate problem-solving and repair design.
  • Assist with preparing client deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Interface with project teams, clients, and contractors.
  • Grow knowledge in building systems and components.
  • Mentor early-career team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Strong communication, report writing, and customer relations skills.
  • Ability to adapt, learn, and work independently or in a team.
  • Willingness to travel and work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
  • Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds, work at heights, in tight spaces, and in adverse weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
