Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer, EIT, to join our Water/Wastewater team in our Ramsey office. This entry‑level civil engineering role works with a talented team of professionals and focuses on projects across the Midwest, Southeast, and beyond.
What You Will Be Doing- Assist Project Engineers with design and construction phase activities on municipal Water/Wastewater projects.
- Perform basic design computations, preliminary layouts, design, research, prepare rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
- Assist with project plans, specifications, cost and quantity take‑off estimates.
- Conduct construction observation activities such as staking, documentation, measurement, testing, oversight, and interaction with contractors, sub‑contractors, residents and city staff.
- Master of Science or Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution, with emphasis on water or wastewater treatment.
- Certified Engineer‑in‑Training or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
- Experience with water or wastewater treatment projects.
- Working knowledge of CAD and design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil3D, Revit).
- Valid driver’s license; travel to various facilities and job sites may be required.
Salary Range: $58,000 – $90,000, depending on years of experience and credentials.
