- The incumbent will serve as a Geospatial Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) to accomplish the mission of the Technical Support and Services Section, Design Branch, Engineering and Construction Division.
- Perform assignments involving preparing and reviewing reports, interpreting data, reviewing regulations, public speaking and presentations, and instituting guidelines in the conduct of the Technical Support and Services Section work.
- The incumbent is considered a senior consultant/advisor and technical expert on all land surveying and Architect-Engineer (A-E) Contracting for geospatial matters District-wide.
- Serve as the District's Subject Matter Expert for Land Surveying.
- Establish and adjusts work priorities to conform to availability of funds and resources as well as manpower capabilities while ensuring that the organization's mission is communicated to and integrated into the team's work products and services.
- Serve as a technical expert in the field of land and hydrographic surveying and advises staff in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving techniques and practices.
- Serves as a technical team leader; assigns and explains technical work requirements to junior level team members for new or changed programs, functions, goals, and processes; and establishes operating guidelines to implement procedures.
