Senior Research And Development Engineer

We are seeking a Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer to support the development of single-use cryoablation medical devices
. This is a hands-on New Product Development role where the engineer will own mechanical/electromechanical subassemblies through prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, design refinement, and manufacturing readiness.

• Lead mechanical/electromechanical product development from concept and prototyping through design verification, documentation, and design transfer.
• Design, build, test, troubleshoot, and refine mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools such as Solid Works.
• Conduct engineering studies, analyze test data, develop test methods, and resolve product-performance issues.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, suppliers, and other cross-functional teams to support product development and manufacturing readiness.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of Mechanical R&D/Product Development Engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience developing single-use medical devices and/or catheter-based products.
• Hands‑on experience with prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and design iterations.
• Strong mechanical engineering background with experience designing mechanical/electromechanical assemblies.
• Solid Works/CAD experience strongly preferred.
• Medical device New Product Development experience from concept through Design Verification and Design Transfer

• Catheter, cryoablation, or other minimally invasive medical device experience.
• Knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer
  .
• Experience with connectors, molded components, seals, leak‑tight interfaces, and joining technologies.
• Design Verification/Validation, test method development, and engineering studies.
• Manufacturing scale-up, design transfer, and supplier collaboration.
• Experience with PEBAX, braided/extruded tubing, O-rings, epoxy sealing, PCB‑integrated connectors
  , or similar technologies.
