Looking for a great opportunity to gain experience with a Global Sustainable Energy company? Our Danfoss Power Solutions site in Plymouth is seeking a part-time (~20 hours per week) Electrical Engineering Intern for the school year.
This is an onsite position that pays $20-$25/per hour.
What You’ll Be DoingResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Applies advanced engineering skills regarding electrical design, analysis and problem solving.
- Conduct product functional testing and product analysis as needed.
- Perform qualification testing of the finished product - including EMC, ESD, electrical transient and HALT testing.
- Create engineering documentation.
- When opportunities come up, perform schematic design using engineering principles and advanced math concepts.
- When opportunities come up, create PCB layouts with a complete understanding of the impact of traces, vias, planes layers and component placement.
- No business travel anticipated.
- Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering Program, with Junior status or higher
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
- Knowledge of the following equipment: digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, PC data acquisition hardware, inspection equipment, signal generators, power supplies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong technical writing skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Motivated self-starter who is willing to tackle all aspects of electrical engineering
