The Lobby Leader delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects, identifies customer needs, and provides advice and guidance regarding financial solutions that best serve customers. The role works collaboratively within the branch and with BMO partners to achieve desired business outcomes and delivers a seamless, personal customer experience across multiple channels.
Responsibilities- Delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects.
- Identifies customer needs and offers advice and guidance on financial solutions.
- Collaborates with branch staff and BMO partners to achieve business objectives.
- Serves as lobby leader, conducts client conversations, recommends alternative banking channels, and provides personal banking and investment advice.
- Meets transaction‑based customer needs with seamless execution.
- Reviews customer profiles and engages in needs‑based conversations to identify opportunities and address banking and credit card needs.
- Supports operational activities (inventory management, escalated service requests, application follow‑ups, filing, opening and closing tasks).
- Probes to understand personal banking and credit card needs and incorporates marketing promotions and programs.
- Organizes work information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Finds creative approaches that personalize each customer’s experience.
- Contributes to continuous improvement of the overall customer experience.
- Follows risk and compliance processes and policies, safeguarding customers’ assets and privacy.
- Identifies and reports suspicious activity related to money laundering.
- Analyzes issues, determines next steps, and escalates as required.
- May work at multiple branches or channels with a flexible schedule.
- Typically 1–2 years of relevant retail banking experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Canada only:
Registration to sell investment products completed or in progress (must be completed within 12 months). - Proficient with social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
- Some experience in consultative customer service or sales roles.
- Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions for referral.
- Passionate commitment to helping customers.
- Drive to deliver a personal customer experience and focus on results.
- Resourceful self‑starter with courage and confidence to approach customers.
- Readiness to collaborate and work in different capacities as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including rapport building and connections with customers.

Salary: $41,714.00 – $50,500.00 (salaried). The range may vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications. Commission structure is possible for eligible roles. Additional compensation may include performance‑based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other rewards.
