Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an experienced Configuration Management Analyst to support our Armament Systems site in Plymouth, Minnesota. This site develops and produces medium- and large-caliber ammunition as well as precision capabilities for direct and indirect fire systems. The team successfully completes lifecycle support for medium‑caliber cannons, develops miniature, precision strike weapons for airborne platforms, creates survivability solutions for soldiers and the next‑generation tactical ammunition for a variety of combat platforms.
PositionDescription
Program Analysts are at the forefront of program strategy, creating, updating, and maintaining program Configuration Management / Data Management Plans and coaching/managing programmatic alignment to these plans across various program or project Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). The role also performs program audits and leads various Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings in coordination with the internal team as well as external customers—supporting the process of Change Notices (CNs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and Requests for Variance (RFVs) for the program.
The Analyst is the program advocate and driver supporting the generation, release, and delivery of Contract/Supplier Data Requirements Listings (CDRLs/SDRLs) to customers to ensure that delivered items meet contractual requirements.
Please note this position may be filled as a Configuration Management Analyst level 2 or 3, depending on the candidate’s education and/or years of experience.
Basic Qualifications (Level2)
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Information Systems, or Library Sciences & Analytics
- 2 years of relevant experience in Configuration Management (CM)/Data Management (DM); or master’s degree in lieu of 2 years of experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience working configuration management in a highly regulated industry
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and must have the ability to obtain a DOD security clearance to a level of Secret.
- Experience understanding and translating contractual requirements into program planning activities
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) and data management tools
- Experience managing customer deliverables (CDRLs) and supplier deliverables (SDRLs)
- Knowledge of MIL-STD-31000 and its proper application for drawing generation and Technical Data Package (TDP) deliveries.
