Inventory and Planning Master Data Leader

Impact You’ll Make in this Role
  • Lead process improvement, execution, and governance for planning master data, including safety stock, lot size, lead time, and stocking status, to optimize planning performance.
  • Create and maintain business group inventory financial plans, including operating plans, monthly estimates, and reconciliation of actual results.
  • Drive the inventory reduction strategy for the business group by establishing, coordinating, and overseeing cross‑functional inventory reduction initiatives.
  • Oversee processes related to surplus and non‑working inventory, inventory build requests, and performance tracking against inventory targets.
Your Skills and Expertise – Core Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
  • Eight (8) years of combined experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, logistics, sourcing and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • Three (3) years of combined experience in planning systems, master data management, and/or data analysis tools.
Your Skills and Expertise – Additional Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working with SAP and Kinaxis.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • ASCM certification, such as CPIM or CSCP.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to connect operational decisions to business outcomes.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, leadership and change management skills.
  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional and global teams.
Work Location
  • This role follows an on‑site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
Travel & Relocation

Travel may include up to 10% domestic/international. Relocation assistance may be authorized.
