Sr Program Manager - Microelectronics / Defense & Space (Finance) Job Description

As a Sr. Program Manager here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for leading and managing strategic programs within the microelectronics defense and space sector. Your strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams will be essential in delivering successful outcomes for Honeywell's programs.

You will report directly to our Director of Program Management
, and you will work out of our Plymouth, MN location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact program success, strategic alignment, efficiency, risk management, resource allocation, quality assurance, stakeholder engagement, and cross-program collaboration. You are instrumental in ensuring that programs drive the organization's success, contribute to its competitiveness, and support its long‑term strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and manage strategic programs from inception to completion.
  • Develop project plans, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Monitor program progress and ensure adherence to program timelines and deliverables.
  • Manage project budgets, financial tracking, and resource allocation.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and presentations to provide project updates and collect feedback.
  • Identify risk and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  • Ensure compliance and company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members.

Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in program management or related roles.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello).
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience and proven success working in a fast‑paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously.
WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field.
  • Prior experience in a senior leadership role in program management.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Experience in leading and managing large‑scale and complex programs.
  • Strong analytical and data‑driven decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing program requirements.

The annual base salary range for this position is $161,000 - $190,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
