Job Description:The Production Planning Associate is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of the daily production schedule. This position is self‑sufficient with a strong desire to take initiative. It develops and implements production schedules to achieve company‑wide sales/performance goals and assists with material application and aged inventory by applying sheets, plates, and parts to orders per divisional strategy.
Pay Range: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Qualifications:- Associate degree or related experience
- 2+ years of experience in steel manufacturing
- Skilled at organizing and multi‑tasking
- Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbally
- 1+ year of experience with production scheduling or planning
- Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Access databases)
- Intermediate Excel application
- Production planning or scheduling in a manufacturing environment
- Previous successful experience multitasking and prioritizing daily work independently, to meet customer demands (internal and external)
- Steel service center experience. Knowledgeable with carbon steel sheet and plate products.
