Production Technician - Immediate opening, starting at $24/hr.....Start earning PTO immediately
Schedule may be 24/5 or a 24/7 (2-3-2 rotation) depending on business demand.
The Manufacturing Production Technician is a progressive role starting with operating production drying equipment. This position is responsible for maximizing product output and maintaining specifications. Training provided.
Starting pay is $24 per hour with a $1 per hour shift differential for night and weekend shifts.
Pay range is: $24-$33 per hour.
The plant is historically a 24-hour, 7 day per week operating facility. This position will work a fixed schedule with night and weekend pay differential.
80 hours of vacation, pro-rated the 1st year.
Tiered pay increases as experience is gained along with advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities- Operate Drum Dryers and related equipment for optimal production output while ensuring safety, quality and reliability
- Change Knife blades on drum dryers
- Perform Rework/Blend-back when required
- Follow all Plant Safety Rules and Company Policies including perform Lockout/Tagout, Hot Work, and Confined Space work according to company and OSHA requirements
- Complete shift checklists with good detail and accuracy
- Maintain good Housekeeping in all work areas including scraping floors and drying equipment, cleaning overhead ledges/pipes, blowing down, sweeping, shoveling, disposing industrial waste into dumpster, etc.
- Operate Industrial Powered Trucks (Forklifts)
- Maintain all equipment in proper working order by performing production level maintenance when necessary. Report all equipment malfunctions
- Write "Work Order Requests"
Must be able to operate a forklift. Must follow all plant safety rules, keep work area clean, and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications- High school degree or GED required
- Education/Training in an industrial field or at least one year of related experience (Preferred)
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Ability and willingness to learn
- Experience using hand tools
- Previous manufacturing or chemical processing experience preferred
- Fork Truck operating experience preferred
- Drivers License preferred
- Ability to communicate well and follow detailed written and verbal instructions
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities
- Demonstrate strong judgement
- Ability to effectively work as a team
Lifting and handling up to 55 pounds of weight is required. Occasional heavier weights may be encountered during cleanup.
Working ConditionsExposure to dust, cold and hot temperatures at times.
