Operating Technician

Position Title:

Operating Technician Wage: $19.00 - $23.00/Hour

Shift: 3rd Shift

Hours:

Operating Technician Responsibilities:

Set-up, operate and troubleshoot equipment to produce thermoformed parts to specification

Ensure maximum efficiency of set-up to include set-up time, materials, production rate and material consumptionproduction rate and material consumption

Machine readiness – inspect machinery, equipment and tooling prior to set-up Identify issues, which adversely affect product requirements and communicate with appropriate department personnel for resolution

Perform routine maintenance and cleaning

Identify nonconforming materials/products and work with shift leader for resolution

Ensure part quality meets established standards

Perform housekeeping duties

Follow Good Manufacturing Practices, as required

Complete all shift documentation/paperwork

Shift hand-off – go over job status and updates with incoming shift

Participate in safety programs

Follow all established safety procedures

Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment Requirements for Operating Technician:

One year manufacturing or related experience

Mechanical aptitude

Ability to read, write and speak English to meet training, safety and quality requirements

Ability to solve basic math problems

Ability to operate forklift

Bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, twisting, standing for long periods of time Occasionally lifting 10-50 lbs – cases of product and palletsIND
