Job Summary- Front line engineering technician
- Provide production support in clean room >90% of day, responding to escalations from Operations (i.e. scrap, process questions, equipment issues, etc.)
- Build SME-level knowledge of manufacturing processes, techniques, and best practices and support Operations team in coaching assemblers
- Investigate scrap generated throughout the shift and understand root cause through dissection and assembler observation/discussion
- Provide data-driven and evidence-based feedback and coaching to assemblers on scrap
- Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and documentation, as required
- Proactively monitor line performance and drive immediate corrections or escalations
- Local candidate(100% on-site role in Plymouth, MN)
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to work as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to work with assemblers and other non-technical personnel
- Ability to teach and coach others
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams
- Adept at handling multiple assignments in a timely manner to meet assigned deadlines
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Direct production support (front line, day-to-day hands-on experience)
- Manufacturing technician or technologist
- Prior medical device experience
- Trade school certification, specialized training/apprenticeship and/or equivalent in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or other equivalent
- Training or babysitting experience nice to have as it demonstrates coaching / teaching ability
- Be innovative, resourceful, and work with minimal direction
- Have excellent organization, problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to build relationships positively with people of varying personalities and cultures
- Possess strong judgement with a focus on quality
